Like our blood, the ocean gathers and transports nutrients, is the habitat for microorganisms, carries life-supporting oxygen, cleanses and purifies, and neutralizes and removes waste.

ANS:
A food chain is made up of a sequence of living organisms that eat and are eaten by other organisms living in the community. Each member of the chain feeds on lower-ranking members of the chain.
