Answer to Question 1

Most workers in nuclear energy are scientists, engineers, technicians, and equipment operators. In 2010, there
were about 19,100 nuclear engineers. Nuclear engineers conduct research and design the processes systems and
instrument to use nuclear energy. Nuclear technicians perform technical tasks involving nuclear physics. Nuclear
equipment monitoring technicians monitor results of nuclear operations and their effects. Nuclear equipment
operation technicians assist nuclear scientists in laboratory and production activities by operating the equipment
needed to release, control, and use nuclear energy.

Answer to Question 2

Coal miners are subject to harsh conditions underground, which are damp, dark, and noisy. Office workers, drivers,
