Coal mines need stripping operators (scoops the earth away to expose the coal), coal-loading machine operators
(rips the coal from the seam and loads the coal into trucks) and tractor operators (operates the bulldozers). The
coal industry is like any other industry, requiring secretaries, bookkeepers, drivers, purchasers, sales people,
accountants, supervisors, managers at all levels, and a wide array of other support personnel.
