That depends on the level of the job. Beginning workers at the local park might need only a high school education,
or even less for the low-skill, low-wage jobs. People in management positions need at least a college degree. People
who conduct research or teach in recreation programs at colleges need at least a master's degree or doctoral degree

Generally speaking, workers in outdoor recreation must be prepared to spend much or most of their time outside.
