The signals are shown in Figure 30-8. They are: speed OK, go faster, go slower, stop, turn, cut motor, go back to dock

Answer to Question 2

When two boats are approaching each other head on, each turns to pass to the right, or starboard side.
 When two boats are approaching each other at right angles, the boat to the right has the right-of-way.
 Boats traveling in channels or rivers must bear to the right.
 A boat may overtake another vessel on either side, providing each is equally safe.
 Boats leaving docks or wharfs have the right-of-way over vessels approaching the moorage area.
 Motorboat operators must not travel closer than 200 feet from the shoreline of a lake
