Salinity is measured in units, or number of grams, of dissolved salt in 1,000 grams of seawater.

Answer to Question 2

The zones of the ocean include the above-water zones of the supratidal and intertidal, the biological zone of the
neritic, the zone containing the continental rise and fall of the bathyal, and the deep-water zone of the abyssal.
