Answer to Question 1

In general use, the term commercial forest does not mean that the forest is actually producing wood for sale
only that it would be suitable for such use. Only about 250 million acres are actually being forested for production
of wood and wood products.



Answer to Question 2

A forest is a complex community of trees, shrubs, other plants, and animals. Trees dominate the other members
of the forest community.
