engineering. A masters degree or Ph.D. is preferred in most places and is required for college-level teaching and
research positions

Geologists study the structure, composition, and history of the earth's surface. The U.S. Department of Labor
groups geologists, geophysicists, and oceanographers together for reporting purposes.
