Chlorofluorocarbons, or CFCs, resulted in the chemical decomposition of ozone. Ozone is an atmospheric gas
that is critical in blocking biologically harmful UV-B light in the upper atmosphere.

According to the EPA, 50 parts per million is the highest safe level of CO gas. Homes and businesses should be
protected by CO detectors.
