Answer to Question 1

Windbreaks are designed to provide comfort to people and save heating costs for farm buildings. Shelterbelts are
for the protection and comfort of crops and livestock. They both consist of rows of shrubs and trees planted across
the prevailing wind and are designed to slow the wind

Answer to Question 2

Both contour farming and terracing require that plowing be done across the slope (on the contour). Soil conservationists
usually recommend that when contour plowing is needed, terraces are needed, too.
