Soil lossthe removal of surface soil from one location.
 Drifts and dustthe deposit of that soil in some other, usually undesired, location



Answer to Question 2

Sheet erosion occurs when an exposed soil surface erodes fairly evenly and the entire top layer is removed, a
little at a time.
 Rill erosion results from the removal of small furrows of soil from the surface.
 Gully erosion occurs when the rills become larger and more extreme.
