as pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodentacides, machine lubricants from
equipment, heavy metals, industrial toxins, compounds used to sanitize equipment,
and others
 Human pathogens, such as soil-associate pathogenic bacteria (Clostridium
botulinum, Listeria monocytogenes), feces-associated pathogenic bacteria (Salmonella
spp. and others), pathogenic parasites (Cryptosporidium, Cyclospora) and pathogenic
viruses (Hepatitis, Enterovirus)
