 Use of controlled or modified atmospheric (CA or MA) storage, which is the
regulation of CO2 and O2 levels
 Curing root, bulb, and tuber crops
 Removing damaged fruits; remember, one rotten apple spoils the whole bushel
 Waxing and other surface coatings
