Answer to Question 1

 To raise the soil pH, agricultural limestone (contains calcium) or dolomitic
limestone (contains calcium and magnesium) are used.
 To lower the pH, sulfur-containing compounds are used.

Answer to Question 2

Nitrogen is found in chlorophyll, amino acids, proteins, and nucleic acids.
