Answer to Question 1

There are free range chickens, cows, and hogs. Prices for those products do tend to
be higher than traditional product prices. But a growing percentage of the
population is willing to pay more for a product produced from better cared for
animals.

Answer to Question 2

The answers will vary. It largely depends on the perspective. Rights advocates will
point out that natural is better and confinement is not healthy for the animals.
Others will counter that confinement for some is short term and for the well-being of
the breed. Industry advocates will point out that confinement helps reduce cost and
keep the price of food at current levels. Removing confinement will likely increase
the price or limit availability of the product
