Answer to Question 1

Chailachjan discovered that the leaves are responsible for sensing daylength and
that they synthesize and transport a flowering hormone (florigen) or stimulus to the
shoot apices



Answer to Question 2

Covered top plants should be flowering. Covered leaves plants should not be
flowering.
