Answer to Question 1

The water came from the leaf and the glass of water below. Through capillary action,
the xylem in the leaf draws in water that is then released in vapor form through the
stomates. As the water vapor condenses, it forms water droplets on the glass.

Answer to Question 2

the available water to be much less plentiful in the soil. Through osmosis, the water
moves from an area where it is plentiful (the root) to an area where it is less
plentiful (the salty soil

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
