Answer to Question 1

Ribbon size depends on the overall design of the corsage and personal preference.
Generally, the ribbon in a single carnation corsage is the same width as the flower when
making the loops of a pinch bow.

Answer to Question 2

To feather a carnation means to cut a bloom in half and then to wire and tape each half
separately. For a feathered carnation corsage, the two taped halves as then placed one
on top of the other, using one full carnation on the base as the focal point so the design
looks as if the flowers are varied in size.
