Answer to Question 1

Because they bear throughput the growing season, day neutral everbearing strawberries
are useful for roadside markets and pick-your-own operations in addition to the home
garden.

Answer to Question 2

The plan for an herb garden may be the same as that of a vegetable garden, especially if
the herbs will be grown for food, or it may resemble the plan for a flower garden. Similar
to a vegetable garden, most herbs require sun and have very similar cultural
requirements. They will grow in a wide range of soils, but as do most other plants, they
grow better when their specific soil and cultural needs are met. A good, well-drained
loamy soil high in organic matter with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5 is satisfactory for most herbs.
