Answer to Question 1

Asexual plant propagation is a process that produces clones, or exact duplicates, of
plants. Most of the economically important perennials and many annuals are reproduced
in this way.

Answer to Question 2

Seeds that are primed or enhanced are best for direct field planting because they come
up much sooner after planting, having less chance for soil insects and diseases to
damage or kill the young seedling. The young plants become much more diseaseresistant
in just a few days, and many more survive if growth is fast.
