The best place to begin preparation for a career in agriculture is in the high school
agricultural education program. Agriculture is also taught as a twoyear program in
community or technical colleges, or as part of a fouryear university program

laboratory situations. The buildings and equipment used for laboratories are designed to
prevent the escape of newly engineered microorganisms into the environment.
