There is a widespread concern about genetic engineering because some people are
worried about the introduction of genetically altered organisms into the environment

Through the use of genetically altered plants and animals, not only will the efficiency of
producing food be greatly increased, but areas in the world that are currently of little
agricultural value can be made productive.
