The 13 safety precautions are as follows:1.
Dress for the job. Wear safety glasses and leather shoes.
2. Keep hands and feet a safe distance from all moving parts.
3. Do not allow burning material to get near oil, solvents, or gasoline.
4. Stop the engine and allow it to cool before refueling.
5. Whenever possible, handle gasoline outdoors.
6. Disconnect the spark plug cable when making any adjustments on machines to prevent the possibility of accidental engine startup.
7. Never disengage any of the safety equipment or devices.
8. Keep all shields in place.
9. Do not operate engines above the specified speed.
10. Do not overload engines or force equipment beyond the designated capacity.
11. Never start and run and engine inside a building where the ventilation is
inadequate.
12. Never use gasoline as a solvent or to clean engine parts.
13. Dispose of gasoline properly by pouring it into an approved container. Never pour
it onto the ground or down a drain.
