Answer to Question 1

Rabbits are easily raised by anyone under almost any climate condition. They are one of
the most nutritious meats available and are easily digestible and flavorful. Rabbit fur is
used in making coats, hats, liners for boots, and toys. Scientists use the animals in
experimentation dealing with medical research and other areas. Many rabbits are sold as
pets because of their docile nature, clean habits, and cuddly fur.

Answer to Question 2

The number of horses and mules in this country grew until the 1920s when the car,
truck, and tractor caused a sharp decline in their numbers.
