A hardwood is a tree that is a broadleaf deciduous tree. A softwood is a conebearing
tree called a conifer that is evergreen

As new trees are planted, lush growths of plants flourish with the seedling trees. These
plants provide food and habitat for wildlife. Several species of animals have been
reintroduced where they had ceased to exist.
