Most citrus is grown in Florida, California, Texas, and Arizona.

During the 1750s a doctor named James Lind noticed that sailors came down with a
disease named scurvy. He discovered that when sailors were given citrus fruits, scurvy
could be avoided. Later it became known that the Vitamin C in the fruit could prevent the
disease.
