Answer to Question 1

The pitcher plant traps insects by luring them into its throat. The sides are so slippery
that the insect cannot get out. It then falls into the digestive fluids in the bottom of the
pitcher and dies.

Answer to Question 2

Potted plants are a challenge to florists because they must have beautiful or unusual
foliage and/or blooms; they must also be healthy.
