Answer to Question 1

A nonselective herbicide kills all plants that it contacts. A selective herbicide will kill only
certain types of plants



Answer to Question 2

Weeds can harbor insects and diseases, compete with plants for nutrients and water,
block sunlight, lower the quality of a crop, and spread rapidly.
