Answer to Question 1

It places the heat where it can warm the roots and plant for better growth
than an overhead heat source and it allows the grower to dry the floor after plants
have been watered. This keeps the plant foliage drier, thereby reducing diseases.

Answer to Question 2

1) The exhaust temperature is lower, thus more of the heat of
combustion is used for heating. 2) Conduction heat loss is lower because the
inside to outside temperature differential is lower due to a lower inside operational
temperature.
