Yes.

Answer to Question 2

The plastic components of the watering system cannot be steamed since
they will distort. They must be sterilized since disease can carry over on them. Use
bleach or disinfectant to rinse the system. If internal contamination is suspected,
soak the components in one of the above solutions.
