Answer to Question 1

a) For the summer start the plants off under natural long night conditions
for vegetative growth, later use black cloth shading to lengthen the night for
flowering. b) During the winter apply light during the night to set up short night
conditions for the initial vegetative growth stage then use natural long night
conditions for flowering.
