Answer to Question 1

The bulbs are plated in potting soil with the tips just showing above the soil line. They should be stored in refrigerated conditions or outdoors where the temperature is cold but above freezing for 5 to 7 weeks for root development. Then they are brought into the greenhouse and grown to flowering at from 60 to 65 degrees.

Answer to Question 2

It can be a place to leave tropical houseplants over the summer and a place for hardening transplants.
