Answer to Question 1

Spray is not applied at a uniform rate.
Hose pressure may be insufficient to produce mist-size droplets. Wettable powder formulations often give poor control. Dragging a hose where you go.

Limited to the area reached with a hose. Reaching under shrubbery and flowers.
