Better distribution of grazing pressure, harvesting of more of the available plant species, reduction of financial risk, improved financial returns.

Conservative stocking, have a drought plan, maintain a percentage of the livestock as a readily marketable class of stock, store harvested feeds when they are plentiful and inexpensive, use cactus as a forage source, seed abandoned fields and barren range areas to adapted forage plants.
