Answer to Question 1

transition zone between grassland and forest

Answer to Question 2

Common use grazing involves using more than on type animal to obtain a financial return. The southern mixed prairie is well suited to common use because these rangelands naturally grow a mixture of grasses, forbs, and shrubs palatable to cattle, sheep, and goats.
