Answer to Question 1

D
Stage 5 sleep is considered rapid eye movement sleep. In this stage, the EEG pattern of beta waves resembles that of the awake state. There are rapid conjugate eye movements, and the heart rate and respiratory rate are irregular and often higher than when awake. The muscles are flaccid, leaving the body immobilized.

Answer to Question 2

2. There may be discomfort for 2448 hours after the procedure.

Rationale:
The client may experience discomfort for 12 days after the procedure. Strenuous activity is avoided only for about 4 hours. Since the client must restrict activity for a short period after the procedure, the client cannot immediately return to his previous activity level. The names of sexual contacts will have no bearing on the prostate biopsy.
