Answer to Question 1

A
Immobility increases the cardiac workload. Immobility limits chest expansion, reducing respiratory excursion. Bone demineralization occurs as early as 2 to 3 days after the onset of immobility and may lead to pathological fractures, renal calculi, and osteoporosis. Constipation and fecal impaction are frequent complications of immobility.

Answer to Question 2

B
The response a patient makes would be considered subjective data, such as in this case, the response to a pain scale. Laboratory data, blood pressure, and weight are all considered objective data or that which can be seen or measured independently.
