Answer to Question 1

B
The rationale for managed care is to give consumers preventive services delivered by a primary care provider, and which result in less expensive interventions.

Answer to Question 2

C
The supine position is for assessing the head, neck, anterior thorax and lungs, breast, axillae, heart, abdomen, and extremities. The prone position is used to assess the posterior thorax and lungs and the hip. The Sims' position is used to assess the rectum and vagina. Elevating the head of the bed will not aid in the assessment of a rectal temperature.
