Answer to Question 1

D
When disposing of infectious waste, wear gloves; use the proper containers; ensure all infectious waste is properly labeled; avoid puncturing or tearing the containers; disinfect carts used to carry infectious waste; dispose of waste in designated areas only; and wash hands after disposing of infectious waste.

Answer to Question 2

A
T lymphocytes are called this because they mature in the thymus gland. T cell development is very complex and can have four different receptor chains. The function of the T cells is poorly understood, however they appear to function as innate immune cells.
