Achievement, drive, commitment, initiative, and optimism are core competencies based on motivation. Understanding others, developing others, service orientation, leveraging diversity, and political awareness are derived from empathy and influence, communication, conflict management, leadership, being a change agent and collaboration are examples of social skills.
