Additional criteria include using the Scope and Standards for Nursing Administrators, no unfair Labor Relations Board convictions for five years prior to Magnet application, participation in a national database for benchmarking nursing quality indicators, a process for nurses to express concern about the professional practice environment, and being in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
