Answer to Question 2

Medicare will reimburse for intermittent home care, which is skilled nursing care provided on fewer than 7 days each week or for less than 8 hours per day for 21 days or less. Intermittent care is home care delivered periodically and not continuously. Medicare will not pay for care longer than a regular visit to perform services. Medicare will not pay for a home care aide to stay for 8 hours or a 24-hour shift.
