Answer to Question 1

B
A subacute rehabilitation unit cares for patients who are recovering from surgery or illness and need more time for rehabilitation and strengthening before returning home. Patients usually have a short-term need with the typical length of stay being from 10 to 14 days. An inpatient rehabilitation center offers intensive therapy for 4 to 6 hours per day. This type of facility is for the patient with extensive rehabilitation needs and the stamina for the extended hours of therapy. The ambulatory clinic is for the patient who needs therapy but is able to live at home. The acute care hospital is for those patients needing acute care in addition to some rehabilitation, approximately 30 to 60 minutes per day.

Answer to Question 2

B
Anxiety is manifested by changes in vital signs and increased sweating. The patient might also verbalize feelings of helplessness, lost of control, nervousness, and fear. Ineffective Individual Coping is manifested by the inability to meet basic needs and the inability to ask for help. Powerlessness is manifested by passive giving-up behavior. Impaired Adjustment is the inability to reach homeostasis.
