The aging process changes the sexual response and libido of men and women. In men, there is a delayed erection and lower testicular elevation. There is a prolonged plateau phase with decreased secretion from the Cooper's gland. The orgasm is of decreased duration, less intense, with decreased emissions. During resolution, the testicles rapidly descend, followed by a longer refractory period.
