Answer to Question 1

B
Most elderly people experience a decreased ability to see colors; pastels fade and monotones, blacks, and whites are difficult to see. These changes normally occur with aging. With aging, taste perception declines and salivation is diminished. Many older patients prefer more highly seasoned foods with more salt and sugar to compensate for a decreased sensation of taste.

Answer to Question 2

B
Engle proposed three stages of mourning: shock and disbelief, developing awareness, and restitution and resolution. Lindemann's theory contains the concepts of somatic distress, preoccupation with the image of the deceased, guilt, hostile reactions, and loss of patterns of conduct. Worden identified manifestations of grief. Bowlby is not identified as a theorist of the grieving process.
