Answer to Question 2

A
Health promotion and wellness for the young adult should focus on avoidance of accident, injury, and violence, and development of health-promoting lifestyle behaviors. Information regarding sexually transmitted diseases, prevention of unwanted pregnancy, and good practices should be provided. Nurses should teach breast self-examinations and testicular self-examinations. Nurses can also teach safety issues to include drinking and driving and avoiding risk factors for skin cancer.
