Answer to Question 1

D
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is a blood disorder associated with a deficit of platelets. Bruising and petechiae are common. The nurse should observe the client for bleeding, epitaxis, hematuria, blood in stools, and level of consciousness resulting from a decreased platelet level. The nurse should advise caregivers that the child should not participate in sports.

Answer to Question 2
