Use of smokeless tobacco products can result in cancer of the mouth, esophagus, pharynx, and larynx; smoking cigarettes, pipes, or cigars can also cause cancer of the lung, pancreas, uterus, cervix, kidney, and bladder.

Answer to Question 2

C
Rheumatic fever is caused by an untreated group A beta-hemolytic streptococcal infection. Common symptoms include fever, listlessness, anorexia, pallor, weight loss, and vague muscle, joint, or abdominal pain. The client may also have polyarthritis, chorea, carditis, erythema marginatum, and an elevated ASO titer showing a recent streptococcal infection. It is important that all respiratory infections be evaluated for group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus and be treated. Medical treatment focuses on an extended period of rest with minimal activity.
