Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
The jaw-thrust technique is not recommended for lay rescuers because it is difficult to perform safely and may cause injury to the spine. In the absence of head or neck trauma, nurses use the head tilt or chin lift technique for opening the airway. The rescue breathing technique is performed through the client's mouth, nose, or stoma. Rescue breathing is not injurious to the spine, but rescuers should use protective face shield devices.

Answer to Question 2

C
Gait belts provide client safety when ambulating. If a client suddenly feels faint and starts to fall, ease the client to the floor while supporting and protecting the head.
