Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
A decibel range of 71 to 90 dB indicates severely impaired hearing. Hearing is moderately impaired if the decibel range is between 31 and 55 dB, moderately or severely impaired if the decibel range is between 56 and 70 dB, and profoundly impaired if the decibel range is 91 dB or higher.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
Tap water and normal saline solution is preferred for cleansing the bowel in preparation for a rectal examination because of its nonirritating effects. A combination of tap water and soap solution is not suitable because soap causes chemical irritation of the mucous membranes. A concentrated hypertonic saline solution also acts as a local irritant on the mucous membranes. Cottonseed or olive oil solution is not normally used for this purpose.
